Boat Ramp & Paddlecraft Launch Area
The boat ramp and paddlecraft launch area are open 24 hours/day. There is no charge to launch paddlecraft in the designated paddlecraft launch area; however, paddlecraft launched at the boat ramp requires a daily boat ramp pass. An annual boat ramp pass is available to purchase at Guest Services and is good at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, James City County Marina and Little Reservoir Park.
Boat ramp fees may be paid at Guest Services. If Guest Services is closed, self-pay is due on the Honor System:
- Take one payment envelope from the mailbox located in front of Guest Services.
- Write today’s date and your vehicle’s license plate number on the payment envelope and hang tag.
- Check the box to identify your residency status and enclose the appropriate fee amount in the payment envelope.
- Tear off the hang tag from the envelope and hang it on your rearview mirror. The hang tag is your payment receipt and should face outward so park staff may determine payment status.
- Seal and deposit your payment envelope in the drop box also located at the top of the boat ramp.
If you need assistance or have comments or concerns, please call 757-258-5020 or visit Guest Services during operating hours.
